Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier Tale is one of the most defining composition of the history in musical theatre. The soldier who sold his soul to the devil is fighting evil desperately. Stravinsky wrote the story in French based on Russian tales with the help of Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz. There’s a live action version as well as a narrated one. The Hungarian text in this performance was  translated by János Lackfi, Zoltán Kocsis and Pál Mácsai. In Hungary The Soldier’s Tale was performed at the Kaposvár Chamber Music Festival in 2010 for the first time and was conducted by Zoltán Kocsis. The Budapest Sound Collective will perform at Örkény Garden conducted by Gergely Dubóczky, and the narrator will be played by Pál Mácsai.
